“Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.”
You’ve heard the saying and amazingly that’s how this site was named, but is there any truth in it?
From my own experience there’s definitely some merit in getting to bed early, at least a few times a week. But that might be down to my mum’s wisdom who has spent a lifetime telling me “An hour before midnight is worth two after”. Certainly sleeping for 8 hours from the early hours feels a lot worse than from 10pm.
Being a morning or evening person may also have a bearing on this. If you like get up late and work late, I can’t see a lot of evidence that means one would be poorer. On the other heand, the early bird catches the worm, but then we’re not birds.
Once thin I am sure about, living in a house where others rise a lot later gives a whole amount of time in a quiet house. Using this time wisely can achieve a whole load of tasks without any interruptions, which may lead to more wealth, possibly.
